North Sulphur River Field Trip

The Dallas Paleontological Society will be hosting a field trip to the North Sulphur River on May 22, 2022. Norman Cover will be leading this field trip.

Attendees will meet at 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the location below.

No registration is required. However you will be required to sign a Hold Harmless form. If you plan to attend please print out the form (provided below). Print your name at the top, sign it at the bottom and bring it on the trip to give to Norman Cover or you can send the signed form to fieldtrips@dallaspaleo.org

Please bring more drinking fluids than you think you may need as well as sunscreen.

If no substantial rain (rise of 5 feet or more in the water levels) happens between now and May 22 the trip will be called off.

Conditions may be very muddy. So bring a change of clothes and something to put your dirty shoes and clothes in. There are no facilities or utilities at the site so be sure to go to the bathroom before joining us.

The DPS is a group of professional and amateur paleontologists that want to exchange information, interact, and continue their education in paleontology. We meet once a month on the second Wednesday evening of the month at Brookhaven College, Building H.
